AK – Almost Kindergarten
Almost Kindergarten is for children who turn four on or before Sept 1 of the school year they are enrolling in.
Almost Kindergarten is a Kindergarten structured program for 4 year olds who learn quickly and can keep pace with the programs busy schedule. Teacher recommendation from a previous Peppermint class or an evaluation from the AK teacher or a director is needed enroll to in the program.
Mon. thru Fri. a.m. class:
8:30 – 11:30a.m.
Mon. thru Fri. p.m. class:
12 noon – 3:00 p.m.
AK students will learn letters and letter sounds, beginning site words, name, address, phone number, counting to 100, rhyming, opposites, sequencing, correct scissors/pencil hold, and many other skills to help prepare them for Kindergarten.
Four’s classes are for children who turn four on or before Sept 1 of the school year they are enrolling in.
M-W-F 4’s- 8:30-11:30 a.m.
T-Th 4’s – 8:30-11:30 a.m.
The four year old program expands on what was learned in 3’s. They learn how to write their names, letter and number recognition, cutting/scissors use, dressing skills (button, snap, buckle), large motor activities, sequencing, playing with friends, sitting/participating in group time.
Three’s classes are for children who turn three on or before Sept. 1 of the school year they are enrolling in.
M-W- F 3’s – 8:30-11:00 a.m.
T-Th 3’s – 8:30-11:00 a.m.
The three year old program works on beginning skills, such as color recognition, counting, tracing, large motor skills, some fine motor skills(scissors and stringing beads), learning to follow directions, playing with friends, recognizing letters in first name, and sitting for group time.
